【摘要】:Theresistanceofazippertoavarietyofsalineandnon-salineenvironmentscanbeestimatedfromtheamountandnatureofcorrosionproductsandtheireffectonoperability.Resultsofexposuretothesaltsprayaremerelyindicativeofthereactiontoothercorrosiveconditions.Whiletheresultscannotberelatedpreciselytoagivenlengthofexposureinaspecificatmosphere,theyareusefulformeasuringrelativeperformanceunderprescribedconditionsforcontrollingamanufacturingprocess,andformeasuringtheeffectivenessofprotectivecoatings.TestMethodD2059forthedeterminationoftheresistanceofzipperstosaltsprayisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofzippersbecausethetestmethodisusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,thetestsamplesshouldbeusedthatareashomogeneousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andthatarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Othermaterialswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Themethod(s)inthestandardalongwiththoseinTestMethodsD2051,D2052,D2053,D2054,D2057,D2058,D2060,D2061,andD2062areacollectionofproventestmethods.Theycanbeusedasaidsintheevaluationofzipperswithouttheneedforathoroughknowledgeofzippers.Theenumeratedtestmethodsdonotprovidefortheevaluationofallzipperproperties.Besidesthosepropertiesmeasuredbymeansoftheenumeratedtestmethodsthereareotherpropertiesthatmaybeimportantforthesatisfactoryperformanceofazipper.Testmethodsformeasuringthosepropertieshavenotbeenpublishedeitherbecausenopracticalmethodshaveyetbeendevelopedorbecauseavalidevaluationoftheinformationresultingfromexistingunpublishedmethodsrequiresanintimateandthoroughknowledgeofzippers.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheresistanceofalltypesofzipperstocorrosionandtheirabilitytofunctionproperlyafterexposureofspecifieddurationinaprescribedsaltspray.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthes......
