【摘要】:Thisterminologyensuresthattermspeculiartorefractoriesareadequatelydefinedsothatotherstandardsinwhichsuchtermsareusedcanbeunderstoodandinterpretedproperly.Thisterminologyisusefultothosewhoarenotconversantwiththetermsrelatedtorefractories.However,itisalsoareadyreferenceforthosedirectlyassociatedwithrefractoriestoresolvedifferencesandensurecommonalityofusage,particularlyinthepreparationofASTMstandards.Althoughthisterminologyisintendedtopromoteuniformityintheusageoftermsrelatedtorefractories,itcanneverbecompletebecausenewtermsareconstantlyarising.Theexistenceofthisterminologydoesnotprecludetheuseormisuseofanyterminanothercontext.1.1Thisterminologycoverstermsparticularlyrelatedtorefractoriesandencompassesrawmaterials,manufacture,finishedproducts,applications,andtestingprocedures.1.2Whenanyofthedefinitionsinthisterminologyarequotedorpublishedoutofcontext,editoriallyinsertthelimitingphrasex201C;inrefractoriesx201D;afterthedashfollowingthetermtoproperlylimitthefieldofapplicationofthetermanddefinition.
