【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationoftheabilityofinhibitedmineraloils,particularlysteam-turbineoils,toaidinpreventingtherustingofferrouspartsshouldwaterbecomemixedwiththeoil.Thistestmethodisalsousedfortestingotheroils,suchashydraulicoilsandcirculatingoils.Provisionismadeintheprocedurefortestingheavier-than-waterfluids.Note1-Forsyntheticfluids,suchasphosphateestertypes,theplasticholderandbeakercovershouldbemadeofachemicallyresistantmaterial,suchaspolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,see6.4-6.6.
