【摘要】:Pressurein-linecoagulation-flocculationfollowedbyfiltrationisaneffectiveprocesstoremovesuspendedandcolloidalmatterfromwaterandwastewater.Theeffectivenessofthisprocessisdependentonthetypeandconcentrationoftheflocculantorcoagulant,orboth,thepH,thetemperature,thefiltrationmedium(a),andthefiltrationrate.Thispracticepermitstheevaluationofthesevariousparameters.Thispracticecanalsobeusedtodeterminefilterbackwashandrinserequirements.Theresultsobtainedfromthispracticecanbeusedforplantdesignoflargesystems.1.1Thispracticecoverstheprocedureusedtoperformpressurein-linecoagulation-flocculation-filtrationofwaterandwastewater.Itisapplicabletowaterandwastewaterwithrelativelylowsuspendedsolids(x003C;30mg/L).Thepracticeisapplicableforanysizefiltergreaterthan100mm(4in.)indiameter.1.2Thispracticecanbeusedtodeterminetheeffectivenessofflocculantsorcoagulants,orboth,andfiltermedium(a)inremovingsuspendedandcolloidalmaterialfromwaterandwastewater.1.3Intervalbetweenfilterbackwashing,backwashrequirements,rinserequirements,andeffectoffiltrationrateoneffluentqualitycanalsobeobtainedwiththispractice.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
