【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistodescribetechniquesandproceduresforcomputerforensicsinregardtoevidencehandling,computers,digitalimaging,andforensicanalysisandexamination.TheexaminershouldbetrainedinaccordancewithGuideE2678.Individualsnottrainedinproperdigitalevidenceproceduresshouldconsultwithanappropriatespecialistbeforeproceeding.Whendealingwithtechnologyoutsideyourareaofexpertise,consultwithanappropriatespecialistbeforeproceeding.1.1Thispracticedescribestechniquesandproceduresforcomputerforensicswithinthecontextofacriminalinvestigation.1.1.1Thispracticecanbeapplicabletocivillitigation.1.2Thispracticedescribesseizingpossibleevidence,properevidencehandling,digitalimaging,forensicanalysis/examination,evidence-handlingdocumentation,andreporting.1.3Thispracticeisnotallinclusiveanddoesnotcontaininformationrelativetospecificoperatingsystemsorforensictools.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
